I. CALL TO ORDER - 7:47 p.m.
II. TOWN PLANNER REPORT
Master Plan Committee
Town Planner Noreen O’Toole advised that the next meeting of the Master Plan Committee will be held on January 29, 2001 at 7:30 p.m. The committee will be receiving a first draft of the Natural Resources and Open Space component of the plan and input on the Economic Development component, she said.
Hanson Trails Committee
Ms. O’Toole said that no meetings of the Hanson Trails Committee are currently scheduled.
In-Law Apartment Study Committee
Ms O’Toole said that the In-Law Apartment Study Committee held its first meeting on December 18, 2000 and has scheduled a second meeting for January 22, 2001 at 7:30 p.m.
Zoning Bylaw Study Committee
Mr. O’Toole said a meeting of the Zoning Bylaw Study Committee has been scheduled for January 29, 2001 at 7:30 p.m. The committee will be reviewing information presented by Attorney Robert Betters of Plymouth on a possible bylaw amendment for housing for those age 55 and older, she said. The committee will also be reviewing material from the Board of Health relative to tattoo parlors.
III. NEW BUSINESS
Form A/ANR, Grady Consulting
West Washington Street
Richard Grady of Grady Consulting of Kingston told the board the Form A request was for the combination of Lots 3A and 6C as depicted on a Plan of Land dated November 29, 2000 by Robert C. Bailey Co., Land Surveyors, of Pembroke. Lot 3A is owned by John E. and Yvonne M. Murray and Lot 6C by Leah C. Demont, Trustee of Demont Realty Trust. The combination of the two lots will allow George Priolo of Whitman to construct a home on the new 2.32 acre retreat lot.

Form A/ANR, Land Planning
West Washington Street
Bernard Munro of Land Planning, Inc. said that the petitioner, Borgeson Family Limited Partnership, was seeking a different configuration of lots than was previously approved by the Board. The Plan of Land dated October 11, 2000 and revised on December 15, 2000 now shows a new 1.218 acre parcel. The plan previously approved on October 18, 2000 created a 4.46 acre parcel with the same 277.45 foot frontage.

Letter to Edward Johnson on Meadowbrook Estates
Board members noted a December 21, 2000 letter from Chairman Philip R. Lindquist to developer Edward Johnson relative to the need for cores before consideration can be given to a release of any of the bond money for Meadowbrook Estates.
Letter from District Attorney
Town Planner Noreen O’Toole told the Board that she and Administrative Assistant Barbara Ferguson would be attending The Municipal Official’s Guide to Avoiding Conflicts of Interest training session on Wednesday, January 31, 2001 at the Massasoit Conference Center in Brockton from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. The session is being sponsored by the Office of District Attorney Michael J. Sullivan. Any board member interested in attending, she said, should call the office.
Route 27 Meeting
Ms. O’Toole told the Board that she and Administrative Assistant Barbara Ferguson would be attending an Executive Office of Environmental Affairs consultation meeting on potential environmental issues related to the reconstruction of Routes 27 and 14 in East Bridgewater and Hanson. The meeting will be held at the East Bridgewater Town Hall at 10:00 a.m. on January 10, 2001.

Salary Recommendation for Town Planner Based on Performance Evaluation

Board members placed a hold on any discussion until the next meeting due to the lateness of the hour.
V. ZONING BOARD HEARINGS
Application of Joseph & Deborah Barretto of 147 Woodbine Avenue for a special permit to allow a horseback riding school (excluding horse shows) on a 4.8 acre parcel off Woodbine Avenue, Hanson Assessors Map 7, Lot 47.
COMMENT: NO COMMENT
Application of John & Kristen Barilaro for a variance to remove an existing three-season porch and to construct a 14 ft. x 42 ft. family room and a 24 ft. x 14 ft. side mudroom at 263 Woodbine Avenue, Map 2, Lot 42, Hanson Assessors Map.
COMMENT: INADEQUATE SUBMISSION
Application of Kevin Black, representative for Hanson Middle School, for site plan approval to allow the construction of a 12 ft. x 16 ft. replica of Henry David Thoreau’s shed at 111 Liberty Street, Map 91, Lot 0026, Hanson Assessors Map.
